Australia Launches Its Only Nationally Recognised Certificate III in AI Engineering
Australian Blockchain Association and National College of Australia offer Australia’s only accredited Certificate III pathway into AI careers.
Brisbane, Australia — [29 October, 2025] — In a landmark step for Australia’s technology education landscape, the Australian Blockchain Association (ABA) in partnership with the National College of Australia (RTO: 45361) has officially launched the 11381NAT Certificate III in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineering – currently the only nationally recognised, ASQA-approved Certificate III in AI Engineering.
Designed to make AI education accessible to all Australians, the course provides a foundational, practical entry point into one of the world’s fastest-growing industries. Delivered 100% online and self-paced over 12 months, the qualification empowers learners across diverse sectors including finance, law, education, healthcare, administration, and small business, to upskill and apply AI tools confidently in real-world environments.
“AI literacy is becoming as essential as digital literacy once was,” Adam Cox, CEO of the Australian Blockchain Association. “This qualification fills a critical gap, it gives everyday professionals the knowledge and skills to not only adapt to the AI era but actively shape it.”
The course, accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), introduces students to core topics including:
- Machine learning fundamentals and data application
- Language models and AI ethics
- Cybersecurity and responsible AI use
- Practical AI integration for workplace improvement
Students also gain access to the AusBlock Vault, a digital learning hub offering exclusive resources such as an AI Glossary, The AI Toolkit, Art of the Prompt Guide, and insights on automation and the future of work. Vault members will also receive early access to the upcoming AusBlock Exchange; a new Australian-based crypto platform designed to connect education with real-world blockchain applications.
