Prohibited Use Policy
This Prohibited Use Policy (the “Policy”) outlines the activities, behaviours, and content strictly prohibited when accessing or using the services, platforms, and offerings (collectively, the “services”) provided by the Australian Blockchain Association Pty Ltd (“AusBlock”, “ABA”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By using AusBlock’s services, you confirm that you understand and agree to comply with this Policy. Any violation of this Policy may lead to account suspension, termination of access to the services, and/or legal action.
Illegal Activities
Unlawful Conduct
You may not use our services to engage in, promote, or facilitate activity that violates any law, statute, ordinance, or regulation. This prohibition includes activities such as money laundering, terrorist financing, or deliberately evading any legal duties or obligations.
Regulated Products and Services
You may not use AusBlock’s services in connection with any business that requires specific regulatory authorisation (e.g., unlicensed gambling, unlicensed money transmitter services) unless you have obtained the necessary permits or licenses and provided proof of such authorisation to AusBlock.
Violation of Sanctions
You may not use AusBlock’s services to violate or circumvent economic sanctions or trade restrictions imposed by the Commonwealth of Australia or any other governmental authority, including relevant export controls.
Fraud and Deception
Fraudulent or Deceptive Activities
You are prohibited from using the services to engage in deceptive practices, including impersonation, false claims, or deceptive promotions (e.g. Ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, or other deceptive investment vehicles).
Unauthorised Access and Tampering
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, account, or data through hacking, phishing, or other illicit means. This includes interfering with the integrity or performance of the services, such as the use of malware or other harmful code.
Identity Theft and Account Takeover
You must not use another person’s account, information, or identity without explicit authorisation. Creating counterfeit credentials or misrepresenting your identity to gain access to the services is strictly prohibited.
Harmful and Offensive Content
Harassment and Hate Speech
You are prohibited from using the services to upload, transmit, or distribute content that is harassing, abusive, hateful, or encourages violence or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status.
Malicious Activity
You may not use the services to carry out or assist in the planning or execution of any malicious or harmful acts, including but not limited to cyberattacks, denial of service (DoS) attacks, or any form of data destruction.
Child Exploitation
Content or activity involving minors in a degrading, exploitative, or abusive manner is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.
Intellectual Property Infringement
Copyright or Trademark Violations
You may not use AusBlock’s services to infringe upon or misappropriate another party’s intellectual property rights. This includes unauthorised use, distribution, or reproduction of copyrighted works, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets.
Counterfeit or Unauthorised Goods
Any transactions or listings involving counterfeited items or services that infringe on third-party rights are strictly prohibited.
Financial Crimes and Market Abuse
Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing
You may not use AusBlock’s services in any manner that facilitates the laundering of funds or financing of terrorism. We may request additional information or documentation to verify compliance with AML and CTF regulations.
Market Manipulation or Insider Trading
Activities designed to artificially affect the price or trading volume of any digital asset or security—such as wash trading, spoofing, or disseminating false information—are strictly prohibited. Any use of non-public information (insider information) for the purpose of trading digital assets through our services is forbidden.
Unregistered Securities
You may not use our services to buy, sell, or otherwise trade any securities that are not properly registered or otherwise exempt from registration under relevant securities laws.
Circumventing Controls
Avoiding Enforcement
You may not use any measures to circumvent security controls or other technological protections employed by AusBlock. This includes using anonymising software, proxy services, or other methods to hide the true source of transactions or user identities with the intent to violate this Policy or applicable law.
Resale and Unauthorised Access
You are prohibited from reselling or otherwise distributing our services for unauthorised purposes. Furthermore, sharing login credentials or granting unauthorised third parties’ access to your account is not allowed.
Enforcement and Reporting
Investigation and Action
AusBlock reserves the right to investigate potential or reported violations of this Policy, to block or remove suspicious or illicit transactions, and to terminate or suspend accounts found to be in breach of this Policy. We may also report any suspicious activity or accounts to law enforcement authorities or other relevant third parties.
Cooperation with Authorities
Where required by law, subpoena, or court order, AusBlock may comply with requests from courts, law enforcement, regulatory agencies, or other relevant third parties for information regarding your use of the services.

Changes to This Policy
