This Modern Slavery Statement is made by Australian Blockchain Association Pty Ltd (“AusBlock”, “ABA”, “we”, “us” or “our”) pursuant to relevant modern slavery legislation, including the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth). It describes the steps we have taken to assess and address the risks of modern slavery in our operations and supply chains. 

 

AusBlock’s Commitment to Mitigating Modern Slavery Risks

AusBlock is firmly committed to respecting and safeguarding human rights throughout its operations and supply chains. We maintain policies and procedures designed to identify, prevent, and address any risk of forced or child labour, human trafficking, or other forms of modern slavery. This includes upholding robust due diligence processes for supplier engagement, promoting transparent labour practices, and continuously monitoring our partners’ compliance with ethical standards. Through ongoing assessments, training, and collaboration, we strive to foster a culture of responsibility and integrity, ensuring our business practices reflect our commitment to eliminating modern slavery in all its forms. 

 

Actions Taken to Address and Mitigate Risks 

Throughout the reporting period, AusBlock has taken the following actions to further mitigate the risk of modern slavery: 

  • Supplier Contracts: Integrated contractual clauses that explicitly prohibit all forms of modern slavery and require suppliers to disclose their practices and supply chain processes. 
  • Training and Awareness: Provided training materials to employees, focusing on the identification and reporting of potential modern slavery risks in our operations and supply chain. 
  • Partnerships and Collaboration: Engaged with industry consortia and standards bodies to remain current on best practices and collective efforts to combat modern slavery within the technology and cryptocurrency sectors.
