This qualification is intended to provide skills and knowledge for individuals in work roles requiring the use of artificial intelligence in practical workplace applications. Learners will develop a foundational knowledge of AI technologies; language models; machine learning and data application with AI; critical thinking skills; and ethical and sustainable application of AI in a diverse range of work contexts as well as cybersecurity when applying AI.

These individuals are new learners of AI Engineering, seeking to gain skills and knowledge for employment at an entry level in the emerging area of AI across a range of organisations including business, education, ICT, health, and creative industries, amongst other workplaces. These individuals work under supervision of a team lead, project manager, or other workplace supervisor.
